To put it mildly: sex dominates so much of our world.

As if happiness cannot be had if sex is not part of your life equation.

Bonnie Pue disagrees with that conclusion. Bonnie and her husband Bryan created The Union Movement to provide a “gospel-centred, holistic approach to the topics of identity, sexuality, and relationships”.

Every month, the No. 1 search that leads people to The Union Movement site is “How can I be happy without sex?

Bonnie has recognised that married and single people are called to the same sexual ethics but they live them out differently.

However. this approach is not the same as the one Western Society promotes.

“In the last 60 years, there has been such an emphasis put on: ‘if you just express yourself physically, through sexuality, you are going to find complete happiness,’” Bonnie said in our interview.

“It’s almost like this giant promise that has been made. I think a lot of people are realising that promise is not paying out.

“So, I think people are starting to ask, ‘How else can I find happiness, fulfilment and purpose?’”

As Bonnie explained,  such a search is not in vain.

Happiness, satisfaction and contentment in your life is possible. Even without sexual relationships.
