How are your goals coming along? If you could use some re-charging in this area – here are 4 tips that can really help you make those goals happen.

1 – Reframe Your Goal

Instead of saying ‘I want to lose 20 pounds by the end of the year’ – re-frame the goal into an action, which can give you that power back. So, instead of focusing on how much weight you want to lose (which can get you to miseryville quickly)re-frame your goal into an action: Say ‘I will exercise 5 times a week’. In your career – instead of saying ‘ I’ll have a new job by the end of the year’ – change the goal to ‘ I’ll reach out to 3 people per day’. Make the goal about the action and not the result. The secret of course is that consistent action produces results – so commit to consistency in the area you want to change!

2 – Take out the Trash

Yes, literally. Clean out your handbag, your bookshelf, your bedside drawer, your closet. When you clear your space, you clear your mind. If that spare room seems overwhelming, then commit to doing one thing a day. Dedicate 30 minutes a day for a week to clean out one area in your living space. You’ll be AMAZED at how much stuff is literally holding you back and keeping you from mentally being clear so you can feel free to give more time and energy to your goals.

3 – Create a Plan

Break it down week by week, the daily actions you need to do (put it in your smartphone calendar) to make it a habit. Make sure you are doing the thing that will give you the biggest results in the morning (contacting people, getting people on calls, promote a plan, exercise) – because as soon as your day starts, your ‘excuse system’ will jump into gear and give you 100 reasons and distractions for you not to do that one thing. Make a plan and make mornings your doing time.

4 – Accountability

Finally, having accountability is massively important when you have a goal to reach. Join a support network or even with your own family network, start a Whatsapp or Facebook group group so you can check in on each other on a regular basis to keep you motivated.
